Jaeger-LeCoultre - Le-Coultre Powermatic w/Breguet Numerals

Jaeger-LeCoultre often referred to as the "watchmaker of watchmakers" is a brand we see deserving of much more discussion in the vintage community. Their recent release of "The Collectibles" – a capsule collection of their vintage highlights has been a welcome reminder of their incredible heritage. Le-Coultre was the name used for JLC watches distributed to the US for a significant period but after '85 the brand's primary name was used globally.

This particular Powermatic example, circa 1950s features a full Breguet numeral dial which is a very beautiful collectible attribute for any dress watch of this era. The red/white window is a power reserve indicator and the brushed silver dial also shows a nice and subtle looking chapter ring. This piece is 10k gold-filled and displays an engraving on its back - this could be removed with some polishing if the next custodian so chooses. For anyone looking for a highly charming "true vintage" dress watch we believe this is a fantastic option. It has just been completely serviced so it is ready to enjoy for decades to come.
