Jaeger-LeCoultre - LeCoultre Vintage Carre | 14k Yellow Gold | Limited Production
Amongst the many masterpieces Jaeger-LeCoultre has produced is this rare LeCoultre Carrè, encased in 14k gold, its flanks adorned with guilloché engravings, a tribute to the artistry that defined LeCoultre. Flipping the watch over, I found a logo; “Lewis E. King”, representing an American company that had commissioned these timepieces for its senior management team back in the 1970s.
With hundreds of inventions, patents, and more than one thousand movements, enthusiasts refer to Jaeger-LeCoultre as the watchmaker's watchmaker. From 1902 and for the next 30 years, LeCoultre & Cie. even produced most of the movement blanks for Patek Philippe of Geneva.
LeCoultre-dialed watches were originally produced for the US American market between the 1930s until the mid-1970s. From Pablo Picasso and Charlie Chaplin to Winston Churchill and Queen Elizabeth II, come and see why vintage LeCoultre timepieces are revered the world over.
