Other - Lemania 15TL Tropical Dial
Vintage watches often exude a unique presence and character... and this one is a perfect example! It is a mid-1940s Lemania 15TL Chronograph featuring a very rare execution dial that has turned tropical.
Founded in 1884, Lemania is a prestigious Swiss brand renowned for its sophisticated movements and exemplary precision.
The 15TL calibre is particularly notable for its column-wheel chronograph mechanism, ensuring smooth operation and exceptional accuracy in timing functions. This movement is highly regarded for its robustness and refined design, making it a cornerstone of military and pilot chronographs of its era.
This piece is entirely original, with white-painted numerals and hands (now turned cream), a dark brown center, and a lighter chestnut tachymetric scale. The steel case is in pristine condition, retaining its original olive pushers and crown, and measures 37.2 mm excluding the crown. The movement has recently undergone a full service, making it look like new. The watch is currently fitted with a high-quality period-style leather strap that complements the tachymetric scale color. Additionally, it comes with a generic steel bracelet, offering versatility for different styling preferences.
This is one of the rarest 15TLs in perfect condition, representing an exemplary piece of Lemania's horological excellence.
