We've long thought that vintage Longines was highly undervalued given their rich history, quality construction, as well as the brand's attention to their heritage today. Prior to Longines retaining licensed to use the more commonly seen "Conquest" name, the name "Comet" was used in early examples such as the one we have on offer. This particular model ref. 9000 is circa '59 and house a rare black gilt glossy dial. The hands and applied gold markers provide a warmth that these gilt dials are so coveted for. This piece has remained in stunning vintage condition with a mirror-like gloss to its dial that shows no notable wear. The case is equally as impressive and remains sharp and unpolished. For any collector looking for a striking and rare piece of Longines history, this level of condition would be difficult to find again.
