The Longines “Sympathie” earns its nickname from Roger Dubuis’ Sympathie collection, and the fact he used to work at Longines.

However it’s more likely that RD drew his inspiration from his time working in Longines as this was first launched in the 70s as part of the brand’s Vogue collection, whilst RD’s Sympathie were first produced in the 90s.

These have been growing in popularity in recent years, and this example comes with a stunning deep blue dial with a gold plated case.

The watch contains the Longines L846.4 manual wound calibre.

There are signs of use throughout the case as expected from a watch of this age, however there’s no major scratches or dings and the watch is running fine. It’s mounted on a brand new handmade blue Swift strap.
