Marine Nationale-issued Tudor 94010 c. 1980

Dial: excellent black dial with cream-colored luminous markers that are fully intact and original. No perceptible damage or wear to be found.

Hands: hour and minute hand have aged slightly lighter than the seconds hand. Possibly replaced during military service.

Case: lugs are thick and even with some of the original chamfer still present. Polished minimally during prior ownership.

Case back: “M.N. 80” engraving remains prominent and likely unpolished.

Provenance: I am the second owner, after the original diver, who was stationed in East Africa. It was sold to me by a French collector that middled the deal. It comes with the admiralty strap that the diver wore it on.

The watch is not featured in the Toulon registry, as the diver’s port of call was elsewhere. However, the watch comes from a known batch of watches issued to the Marine Nationale. It is very close in serial number to several watches featured in the registry.
