Other - Marvin « Flying Dutchman » Autodate

This is not the 1675 designed in collaboration with the PAN AM, nor the very hype Polarouter issued for the Scandinavian Airline.
But if you are into civil aviation watches, this is a cool one to add to the collection.

The Marvin Flying Dutchman is the watch worn by the pilots of KLM in the 50s.
It was in the 1930s when the Royal Dutch Company decided to use the name of this popular Dutch legend to rename their aircrafts which traveled the world from Schipol.

We can consider this one as the « De Luxe » version, with its 33mm gold plated case, engine turned bezel and black glossy dial.

A very cool and affordable watch, full of history, reminiscent of a time when you could still smoke in the cabine …
