The Nautilus 3900 is the elegant midsize interpretation of Patek Philippe’s most iconic deisgn. Introduced in the early 1980s, this 32.5mm model retains the instantly recognizable Gérald Genta DNA – the rounded octagonal bezel, the integrated steel bracelet and the perfect balance between sportiness and refinement typical from Patek’ Philippe’s finest craftsmanship. The watch proposed here is in fantastic condition and was manufactured in december 1984 and sold in july 1986 in Gstaad.

Dial: horizontal embossed blue dial plays with light and respects the specifications Mr. Stern imposed to Mr Genta: « the true color of the ocean ». Sigma SWISS Sigma at 6h black date disc and accent on the GENEVE are typical features sought after by collector. The white gold hour index markers and hands are filled with tritium. They flash green and vanish quickly which is how the original tritium reacts.

Case: very nice and thick case revealing an extremely limited – if any – polishing history. The sharp 3D calatrava cross on the clasp speaks for itself. Diameter 32.5mm. Thickness 6.6mm. Weight 74g.

Bracelet: the bracelet is extremely thick ans has 22 links. Nautilus engraved on the clasp.
