Omega - Omega Calatrava solid 14K circa 1944
Omega Calatrava from 1944 in remarkable condition. Powered by the renowned Cal. 30 T2 RG—a movement designed in 1939 by self-taught watchmaker Henri Kneuss—this caliber excelled in observatory timing trials and gained recognition for its precision and reliability.
This example is housed in a 33mm, 14-carat yellow gold case. A classic design that would be appreciated in any collection.
Case and Bracelet:
The solid gold case is in great condition, showing light polishing, a deep hallmark can be seen under the top right lug.
Dial & Hands:
The dial is in incredible condition, no damage or stains can be noticed all around. The dial has a very attractive vertical brushing in the center of the dial which then changed on the hour marker ring to a radial brushing, a truly wonderful dial. By the age of watch and condition, it is very likely this watch was sent to Omega for a full overhaul and they installed a new old stock dial. The dial has a small imperfection at 8.
