Omega - Omega flying saucer from 1930s

In the 1930s, Omega introduced watches with slim and oversized cases, featuring a flat bezel and short lugs. These models, affectionately nicknamed "Disco Volante" or "Flying Saucer" by collectors, were notable for their bold and innovative design. With an impressive diameter of 39 mm, these watches were considerably larger than the standard models of the time, which typically ranged between 30 and 32 mm. The CK2013 reference is a remarkable example of this series, featuring a sumptuous dial and an especially elegant set of hands.
This particular model, entirely original, displays a sumptuous black gilt dial, which is especially captivating when illuminated by sunlight. The watch is powered by Omega's high-quality Caliber 26.5 SOB movement, adding a touch of sophistication and distinction to this exceptional piece. Omega collectors recognize the rarity and beauty of this late 1930s model, making it a highly prized and elegant watch.
