The Omega Speedmaster is a legendary timepiece that has achieved iconic status in the world of horology. Originally introduced in 1957 as a racing chronograph, the Speedmaster gained worldwide fame as the watch that accompanied NASA astronauts on all six lunar missions. In 1969, the Speedmaster became the first watch to be worn on the moon, cementing its place in history. In 2003, OMEGA established a genuine link between Snoopy and their Speedmaster Moonwatch, and NASA by introducing a limited-edition Speedmaster. This unique blend of authentic heritage and a touch of fun featured the cartoon dog in a space suit, joyfully dancing against a starry background, with "Eyes On The Stars" emblazoned above his helmet. The model showcased here retains the classic Speedmaster design, a whimsical dial detail, and a commemorative case back, numbered among the 5,441 total editions made. This particular example was sold in the first year of production as noted on its warranty card. For the serious collector it remains in impressively clean and unpolished condition and as a full set and we could not be more thrilled to offer it to its next custodian.
