The Ellipse was initially released in 1968 and to this day remains potentially the most unique design from Patek Philippe. Many iterations featured quartz, however some were produced with mechanical movements and today as the model becomes more appreciated in the collecting sphere, we believe these examples deserve the most attention.

We are thrilled to offer this exceptionally rare yellow gold Ellipse, featuring a highly desirable double signature with "Cartier." This is undoubtedly a collector gem for anyone who appreciates either of these historic brands. Remaining in nice vintage condition, the dial has some patina but no distracting wear and we've carefully vetted the "Cartier" signature. An Archive Extract has also been ordered to help confirm its provenance. The case is well preserved and shows deep markings and a hallmark on its side. The bracelet has some wear but still fits nicely on wrist and we believe this could be restored potentially down the road. For anyone looking for a truly special and seldom seen Ellipse, this is a configuration we'd be hard pressed to ever find again.

Dial: Displays some light patina but is excellent overall. The very rare "Cartier" signature was carefully scrutinized and appears correct. Mint. No blemishes under magnification.
Hands: Are matching and have some light oxidation. They could be cleaned down the road. Case: Well preserved for its age with clear hallmarks and numbers on its back. Correct signed crown.
Bracelet: Has some wear. The top portion is twisted and the bottom portion is showing it was lightly bent. We believe it still fits correctly on the wrist but this could be restored potentially with some laser welding. Will fit an approximate 7 inch wrist.
Crystal: Mostly clear. There is a very small chip on its edge which is not distracting. Accessories: An Archive Extract has been ordered to confirm its provenance.

The movement is running well on our timegrapher and comes with our 1-year mechanical warranty.
