A coin watch is a fascinating creation — essentially a watch hidden within a coin that has been split into two halves, with one side made slightly thicker to house the movement. When closed, it looks like an ordinary coin, but pressing a discreet catch at 3 o’clock releases the thinner side, which pops open to reveal the concealed watch.

First created to mark Piaget’s 120th anniversary, this piece features a white gold commemorative coin with the Piaget logo on the hinged cover, while the reverse is engraved with the brand’s headquarters in La Côte-aux-Fées, unlike the typical American 20 dollar coin watch.
