Piaget - Piaget Protocole 9154N - White "Roman" Dial - *Unpolished*
Piaget's ultra-thin 9P movement was launched in 1957 and was a major development for the brand's history. At 2mm, it was the thinnest manual-wind caliber produced to date, allowing for slim and elegant dress watches to house it. Prior to its creation, Piaget was producing watches in steel but with the advent of this movement, the brand decided to focus on their thinner precious metal models and wouldn't produce a watch in steel until the year 2000.
This Protocole, circa 1980s is one of their most iconic, elegant and simple dress pieces. At 4mm thick, the case fits snug to the wrist. We believe the combination of an 18k yellow gold case and white roman numeral dial is one of the most classic pairings and this example is a survivor, remaining in stunning and unpolished condition. With manually wound Cartier Tanks trading at double or more, we believe Piaget offers great value in today's market.
