The Polerouter featured here is a 35mm ref 204607-3. The particularity of this reference is its non lume dial. The absence of radium offers a very uniform, homogenous tropicalisation of the dial. The nick name « Oax Blood » is because of its dial color turning into a dark shade of red. It resembles burgundy, but has less purple and more dark brown hues. Oax Blood is also the nick name given the #8 color of the very famous Shell Cordovan leather.

Despite the years, the case appears to be unpolished and keeps all the structures of the original design.
The watch still has its original crown and signed plexi. The caseback still shows the Polerouter logo and reference and serial numbers are still partially visible.

The micro rotor 218-2 has been serviced, is beating strong and keeping excellent time.

The watch comes with a patinated Shell Cordovan #8 « Ox-blood » (what else?), matching perfectly with the dial.

If you are UG fan, you must have noticed the recent craze with the tropical Polerouter. The tropical effect on a glossy lacquered dial can be really mesmerizing, If you lucky enough to find one. For a little bit more than the price of a common Datejust, you will have something really exclusive and genuinely rare.
