Omega - RARE* 1958 Omega Ranchero | Broad Arrow Hands | Ref. CK2990-1 | Pumpkin Patina
The Omega Ranchero is notable for being one of the briefest production runs among Omega’s tool watches.
Introduced in 1958, the Ranchero was Omega’s versatile alternative to the Railmaster and Seamaster. Unlike its purpose-built counterparts, it combined a robust waterproof case and hand-wound movement with a slimmer profile, making it suitable for both work and leisure—much like Ford’s Ranchero.
The thin crystal and case emphasized the dial, featuring luminescent triangles and ‘broad arrow’ hands inspired by the Railmaster. However, the Ranchero was discontinued by 1959 due to limited success. This is why so few exist today, and finding one in good condition is rare, let alone one like this, in exceptional shape.
CONDITION
This watch is in great condition, the dial is outstanding and very clean, and the radium in the markers and hands are complete with all the fill intact.
The watch was just fully serviced and keeps a good time.
