Gerald Genta - Rare Quantieme Perpetual Skeleton
A spectacular vintage Gerald Genta Skeletonized Quantieme Perpetual Moonphase! This insane watch represents the designer’s move towards high-end, whimsical complications after his iconic sports watch designs for other brands. Featuring a slim 18k yellow gold case measuring 34mm in diameter with sapphire crystals on both the front and back displaying an absolutely gorgeous and complicated skeletonized perpetual calendar. With gold registers and a lapis lazuli stone moonphase subdial at 12 o’clock. The GG 5110Q movement is an ultra slim based on the Frederic Piguet Cal. 71 with an offset oscillating weight of solid gold with beautiful hand engraved finishing. This early example features hand engraved case and serial numbers as well as deep hallmarks and appears to have never been polished. It also comes with its original strap and and 18k gold buckle. There are so many incredible and unique details in this piece and compared to other skeletonized perpetual calendars of the same era it presents an amazing value especially when considering the immense rarity and the fact that if this watch were produced today it would cost well into the 6 figures. This is a true collectors and connoisseurs piece and it exemplifies the kind of watches I like to curate and offer!
