Patek Philippe - Ref. 2545 Waterproof Calatrava - 1956

Aesthetically similar to Patek’s famed Calatrava ref. 96, the 2545 is its lesser known cousin. Measuring larger than the 96 at 32mm we feel this might just be the perfect size. Additionally this reference features a “waterproof” screwback case. This is truly a reference for collectors who love the 96 but want a slightly deeper cut. The watch is accompanied by an 18k yellow gold Patek signed AW buckle. There is an engraving on the caseback as the watch was given as a gift for 41 years of service at Ernst & Ernst, known today as the accounting firm EY(Ernst & Young).

The watch also comes with an Extract from the Archives which cites an original sale date of February 27th, 1956. This example is preserved in fantastic original condition with thick case and unrestored dial. All hallmarks are still in tact. Powered by Patek’s cal. 12-400 movement, the watch is running well. This is a great opportunity to land an honest vintage Calatrava that can be worn daily.
