When we use these words it means that there is something truly exceptional on our table. This doesn’t happen very often but when it does all eyes are wide open.

Before we get to the watch itself, Rolex Cellinis have found their way up and are on the radar of collectors and buyers today. After a dormant period of almost 40 years buyer appreciate the iconic designs. In a market that strongly seeks Luxury watches today, Cellinis are a great value proposition and offer a wide variety of references to choose from.

We have here a fantastic example of a Rolex Cellini reference 4027 in white gold. This reference is known for its larger case at 24x32mm which is on the higher side for ‘not round’ Cellinis. We believe that this reference has taken strong inspiration from the King Midas designs that were known for their angular case shapes. Even the rough brushed finish seems to derive from the Midas models and gives them a very high-end feel. The surface of the case still bears this original brushed factory finish, we are pretty certain that this watch has never seen a polishing machine, the hallmark is deep and unblemished. The edges are sharp and only show minimal wear from age. The case back sticker is still fully present and covering most of the serial number.

The crown is original and winds the manual winding movement smooth and easy.

The dial, a magical dark blue metallic that beautifully plays in the lighting, very clean and blemish free, accentuated with a clear white print signed Cellini. In our opinion the best configuration for the 4027.

The watch has a great wrist presence, not only because of the great size but also because of its impeccable condition. It’s one of those watches that you don’t need to loupe, you can see from far that this is a fantastic watch. Very hard to find in this condition, probably the best example we have seen from this reference.

Case: Excellent and unpolished rectangular case in 18K white gold case that hardly shows any wear from age. The brushed factory finish is fully present and as crisp as it gets. Hallmark on the side of the cas is deep and fully present. Original crown is sharp and crisp. The case back sticker is fully present and hides the serial number.
