The Rolex Date (34mm) is undoubtedly discussed less than its 36mm siblings; the now iconic Datejust and Day-Date. That doesn't mean the model should be overlooked however and we'd argue that the slightly smaller dimensions feel even more elegant on wrist, especially in gold.

This particular Date example, circa 1979 features a gold plated case/bracelet. The watch houses a seldom seen "Havana" brown dial which is a stunning and perennial classic combination with gold. This piece offers immense character on wrist and we believe would pair equally well on a leather strap. Dial: Fantastic shape overall with no notable blemished under magnification. There is some aging around the tritium plots but it is even across all plots on the dial so not at all distracting and all of the plots remain full with beautiful patina. Fantastic for its age. No blemishes to note of under magnification. All of the lume plots are present and even in color.
Bezel: Nicely preserved with no notable blemises. Hands: Are matching and all of their lume is stable. Case: Strong with thick and even lugs. Normal signs of use consistent with age. Correct signed crown.
Bracelet: Excellent shape with minimal wear for its age. Displays light to medium stretch and will fit up to a 7.25 inch wrist.
Crystal: Clear.
