The Pepsi

The Rolex GMT Master II Pepsi 16710 is among the most popular Neo Vintage Sports Models due to its versatility and fresh color combination. The reference was launched in the late 1980s and discontinued in 2008 before the Pepsi was revived in 2018 with the Maxi case Pepsi. Though the BLRO version with Ceramic bezel is a nice watch, purists tend to chose the 16710 due to its original Oyster shape case and Aluminium bezel insert.

The example here is one of the later 16710s featuring a Luminova dial and SEL bracelet, the so called solid end link bracelet that tackled the issue of lose end links.

The watch has been recently polished and is in excellent condition showing sharp edges and well defined lugs. The bezel is in equally good condition bearing sharp teeth for GMT time adjustment. The bezel shows a later well retained Service insert with vibrant colors that is free of any visible wear. The watch comes on a well retained and matching Oyster bracelet that is only showing light wear from age.

The watch comes with its original warranty Certificate and is a great proposition for someone craving a nice and classic Pepsi that can be worn on a daily basis. The waterproof case and Sapphire crystal make this watch an all rounder that will do well with a casual Polo shirt and shorts outfit as well as on a official business suit.

Case: Excellent stainless steel case that has been polished recently. The lugs remain straight and even with well proportioned dimensions. Case numbers are clear. The later Pepsi insert shows vibrant colors and doesn't show any wear to the naked eye.
Bracelet/Strap: Excellent matching Oyster bracelet showing only litle wear from age. The clasp code is 2002 which is correct for this serial range.
Dial: Excellent matching Swiss Made dial with matching hands.
