Rolex - Rolex Oversized Chronometre Pink Gold Ref. 4119, 1944

The Rolex non-Oyster watches, made since the 1930s, come in numerous references. Most are 34-35mm, but the reference 4119 stands out as one of the largest vintage watches at 38mm diameter. Its large dial makes it wear even bigger.

Produced in yellow and pink gold, the latter being rarer, the 4119 features a well-preserved domed bezel despite its 80 years. The silver dial, aged to a light champagne with fine spotting, has applied baton and Roman numerals, an outer dot-minute track, and pink Dauphine hands. The subsidiary seconds at 6 o’clock add charm, while tiny geometric lugs enhance sophistication. The snap-back case has deep engravings, showcasing the Rolex crown and serial numbers.
