In this instance, we showcase a rare blue radial dial elevating the watch's intrinsic charm. Noticeably, this dial differs significantly with minute marks extending unusually far into the center, a feature uncommonly found on similar models. Referred to as the radial dial, this variant is exceedingly rare, produced by Rolex in very limited numbers.

Another defining feature of this vintage Rolex OP is the engine-turned bezel, a subtle yet impactful embellishment that bestows character upon the timepiece without disrupting its inherently clean lines. Despite its more than 50-year tenure, this Rolex Oyster Perpetual stands as a testament to enduring design, looking as resplendent today as it did when it was produced in 1971.

This Rolex Oyster Perpetual ref 1501 from 1971 is in overall excellent condition. Although the case was likely polished in the past, it retains full thick lugs with its beautiful oyster case lines in great shape. The original blue radial dial is in beautiful condition with no blemishes or discoloration. The lume plots are all full and developed a nice cream colored patina. The original hands shows some aging consistent with its age. The Oyster bracelet continues to prove that it is one of the most comfortable bracelets. It is in great condition for its age and has just minor stretch. The numbers between both sets of lugs are clearly visible. The case, dial, movement, crown, and bracelet are all signed by Rolex. The bracelet has its full links and can fit up to a 8.5 inch (21.5 cm) wrist.

The movement was serviced in June 2024 is currently running at +7.8 second/day at the upright position. It comes with a 3 month movement warranty from us.
