Rolex - Rolex Oyster Precision Oman Khanjar Ref. 6426, 1981

Red Khanjar - The late Sultan Qaboos bin Said Al Said of Oman, is not a unknown name when it comes to some of the rarest watches in the world. He was an avid collector of watches and he was a very generous man who only commissioned the finest things to be gifted by him. He had a passion for Rolex watches and in collaboration with Asprey, he commissioned a good number of Rolex watches that feature the National emblem of Oman, the Khanjar.

These Khanjar logos can be found on many different watches, such as Day Dates, Datejusts, Daytonas, GMTs and other Rolex watches. They are coveted and highly valued by collectors because of their Royal provenance, rarity and collectability.

We are offering here a stunning example of a Rolex Oyster in stainless steel with the coveted Khanjar logo on the dial, made for the Sultanate of Oman in 1981. The dial is mint, not showing any wear to the naked eye. The Red print of the logo is crisp and in excellent condition. The watch is overall in a very honest condition showing some wear from age.

What we like especially about this example that the watch does not have any distractions from the logo such as a date window, a lot of print or diamonds. It lets you fully appreciate the logo itself and on top of it it makes it very accessible price wise as one can imagine how much premium some of the watches have.

We feel that the Khanjar is among the most special logos to be found on a Rolex, it reflects Royalty and timeless elegance.
