After 25 years of the classic manual-winding Daytona, the introduction of the automatic reference 16520 marked a pivotal moment in watchmaking history. This celebrated model underwent a complete redesign, featuring the groundbreaking caliber 4030, inspired by the Zenith El Primero. Although the 16520 was produced for only about a dozen years, it saw several notable developments, particularly in the layout of its dial—with five unique changes that collectors cherish.

The silver chapter rings of their subsidiary dials have aged into a rich tropical brown, affectionately known as a Patrizzi dial—named after Osvaldo Patrizzi, who first documented this distinctive aging.
