Rolex - Rolex Submariner 14060 "Two Line"
The Rolex Submariner was first introduced by Rolex in 1953 and is notable for being one of the first watches specifically designed for diving. Beyond its technical capabilities, the Submariner has become an icon in the world of watches, with a timeless design that has remained largely unchanged since its introduction. It is widely regarded as one of the most important and influential watches of all time, and has become a symbol of Rolex's reputation for quality, durability, and precision. The Sub has been worn by everyone from professional divers and military personnel to Hollywood celebrities and heads of state, cementing its place in the pantheon of iconic watches.
The ref. 14060 really brings everything loved about the vintage Submariner into the modern age. Some collectors might also prefer this ref. over the final "two line" Sub ref. 14060M due to its use of tritium lume and potential to develop patina. This particular T69X example, circa 1996 features the "two line" dial which harks back to the simplicity of the ref. 5513. This piece remains in excellent condition with a mint dial/hands that have a light cream hue. The case is excellent and sharp and evenly proportioned lugs. The bracelet still displays a strong coronet, retains 12 links and shows light stretch. If you've been looking for the perfect daily driver, this piece just came back from a full service and is one of our favorite recommendations.
Dial: Is mint and displays clean tritium lume. Bezel insert: Very nicely preserved including the matching tritium pip. No distracting wear. Hands: Are matching and their lume is stable. Case: Very sharp with factory chamfers still visible. The lugs are very thick and even in proportion. Light signs of use overall. Correct signed crown.
Bracelet: Correct 93150 retaining 12 links. Light stretch and displays a strong looking coronet on the clasp.
Crystal: Clear.
