Brooch watch in 18K gold and cabochon rubies, made in France for the English market around 1939. The round case bears the maker’s mark of Sasportas (Paul Lévy), who also worked for René Boivin, and features a London import mark dated 1939 (letter D). The case back interior is hallmarked; the brooch is shaped like a cornucopia with gold scrolls and a cluster of rubies. The gold-toned dial has painted hour markers and blued steel syringe hands, unsigned. Mechanical movement, also unsigned and unnumbered. Diameter: 16 mm.
