It's an approachable brand that many would argue has great growth potential, given their household name and iconic lineup of models. From Martin Sheen's use of the "Captain Willard" in Apocalypse Now to Bruce Lee's Seiko chronograph, now nicknamed after him, these pieces have seen the limelight in Hollywood and documented military use in Vietnam and beyond.
This particular "Captain Willard" ref. 6105-8119 was produced in March of 1971. Some collects would appreciate the amount of honest use this piece displays for its overall history and character. Overall it has remained in very nice vintage condition with a well-preserved dial and bezel insert that displays even wear. If you're looking for a great quality vintage Seiko diver, this piece has all the charm one could hope for.
Dial: Nice preservation with evenly colored patina in the plots.
Bezel insert: Displays honest signs of use consistent with age.
Hands: Are matching. Even the "stop light" is present in the seconds hand.
Case: Remains strong with thick and even lugs. Etching on back is still deep and visible. Correct signed crown.
Bracelet: Uncle Seiko tropic strap in black.
Crystal: Clear.
