Other - Seiko 6139-6005 "True Gold Pogue" Chronograph - *Unpolished*

One of Seiko's most iconic timepieces is the "Pogue." This nickname came from the astronaut Colonel William R. Pogue who used an earlier gold dial variant of this reference for a NASA mission in 1973. We believe that both variants with blue and gold dial remain highly undervalued, even in today's market given their historical significance.

This example particular example is a rare "true Poge" with the identical ref. "6139-6005" and "RESIST" dial that Colonel Poge used on his mission making it the most desirable variant among collectors. It remains in fantastic vintage condition with a beautiful dial/hand set and unpolished case/bracelet. If you're looking for a robust vintage piece with plenty of wrist presence, don't overlook the "Pogue" for its fun pop of color and important place in the annals of horology.

Dial: Fantastic preservation with perfectly clean looking lume. There are some small age spots visible in the macro photography but nothing distracting.
Bezel insert: Excellent with light wear consistent with age.
Hands: Are matching and all of their lume is stable. Case: Extremely sharp and appears unpolished. Etching on back is still deep and visible. Correct pushers and crown.
Bracelet: Appears unpolished. Signed and correct "H" link style. 10 links and light stretch. Will fit approximately a 7 inch wrist.
Crystal: Clear.
Accessories: None.

All functions of the watch operate flawlessly. The movement is running well on our timegrapher and comes with our 1-year mechanical warranty.
