Other - Seiko Scuba Professional Diver 6159-7001 - Box/Near Mint

The Seiko 6159-700X, released three years after the iconic 62MAS, marked a major evolution in Seiko’s dive watch design. It features a 43mm stainless steel case, 14mm thickness, and a durable black strap suited for medium to large wrists. The black ceramic bezel with gold accents complements the matte black dial, which displays geometric hour markers, sword hands, and a date window at 3 o’clock—all outlined in gold for a timeless aesthetic that continues to inspire modern Seiko divers. A screw-down crown positioned at 4 o’clock ensures comfort, while the watch’s 300-meter water resistance and in-house cal. 6159 movement (36,000 vph, 45-hour power reserve) reinforce its professional-grade build.

This particular example, circa June of '69 is the rare “Transitional” RESIST variant, featuring a RESIST dial within a PROOF case—produced during Seiko’s shift to stricter ISO standards. It has remained in remarkable vintage condition with a mint dial/hands with warm patina and cleanly aged lume. The bezel and case are just as clean with very minimal signs of use, appearing sharp and unpolished. It retains its original GL721 “chocolate bar” straps, an additional unused orange set, and its exceptionally rare original box. This is undoutedly one of the best examples available in the world today and a true collector’s dream.
