Tudor - Tudor “7928 PCG Exclamation” Submariner

FOR SALE : Tudor SA has been designing, manufacturing, and marketing Tudor watches since March 1946. The brand was created by Hans Wilsdorf, the founder of Rolex, to offer a high-quality product for authorized Rolex dealers at a more affordable price than Rolex itself. Here, we present Tudor's interpretation of the Rolex Submariner, which first appeared in the 1950s. This specific example dates to 1962-63, with the reference number 7928, and showcases the exceptionally rare "chapter ring" and "exclamation mark" dial, housed in a "pointed crown guards" (PCG) case. The "exclamation mark" dial, featuring an extra lume dot above the 6 o'clock marker, is thought to indicate Rolex's transition from radium to tritium luminescent material. These distinctive case and dial designs were only used in the earliest Tudor Submariners during a brief period in the early 1960s.

This Tudor Submariner is in excellent vintage condition. The case appears to be unpolished (or if it has been, the polishing was extremely minimal), with the original beveled edges still clearly visible and well-defined. The dial is stunning, free from any flaws, chips, or scratches. Additionally, the original radium lume remains intact on both the dial and hands, having aged to an attractive pale yellow hue. The original "Long 5" bezel insert, also period-correct, is in excellent condition with minimal signs of wear.

The watch is fitted with its original Rolex Swiss Rivet 7206 bracelet, complete with rare 75 endlinks, and dates to 1964. The bracelet retains 12 full links with virtually no stretch.
