Tudor - Tudor Oyster Small Rose Rare Dial Ref. 7984, 1966
Vertical Indexes
Tudor, known to many as the poor man's Rolex, was a very underrated brand until collectors many years back have discovered and appreciated some very unique watches from the past. Be it a Sport watch, a dress watch or an iconic Oyster case watch, please do not undervalue a Tudor.
We have here a very special Tudor Oyster Rose reference 7984 from 1966. The watch is powered by a manual winding movement and case parts like case, case back, crown and bracelet are signed Rolex. The dial is very rare with its brushed finish, quarters printed in Roman numerals and vertically applied facetted baton indexes. To date we have not seen another one with the same dial configuration. The way they have combined the vertical indexes with the Roman numerals is amazing, the visual effect is mesmerizing.
The watch is overall in beautiful vintage condition and we are pretty sure that you won't see another one around anytime soon.
