Ulysse Nardin - Ulysse Nardin 7536-1 Valjoux 72 w/Archive
The Ulysse Nardin 7536 is a rare and sought-after chronograph produced in 1967. This model resembles early pump pusher Rolex Cosmograph Daytonas but is distinguished by its larger 38mm case, sculptural lug profile, and compact bezel made from a single piece of anodized aluminum, unlike the steel bezels of the Daytona.
Collectors value the 7536 for its rarity—it is significantly rarer than any Daytona reference. The 7536 showcases meticulous craftsmanship, particularly in its Valjoux 72 movement, which features traditional hand-finishing “perlage” techniques rarely seen elsewhere. The dial, made by Singer, as was the Daytona, features an applied Ulysse Nardin anchor logo, reminiscent of the brand's heritage in marine chronometry.
This example is in beautiful vintage condition. The bezel has faded to a grey with blue hues. The dial has started to pick up a caramel tint to the black. The case may have been polished at some point, but it is symmetrical and sharp.
