Vacheron Constantin - Vacheron Constantin Overseas 42040 First Series w/ Archive Papers - *Unpolished*
When looking at certain popular integrated bracelet models such as the Patek Nautilus or AP Royal Oak, one might argue that Vacheron's Overseas is highly undervalued and overlooked. VC is of course part of the "Holy Trinity" of Watchmaking and is finally garnering more attention from collectors as of late. Their neo-vintage Overseas models offer unique design language with a thin and comfortable profile on wrist.
This particular 1st series example was actually featured in a Watchonista article which did a deep dive into the evolution of these early models. We believe the early batch examples will always be the most desirable and this piece features a less common white dial which is crisp and offers some depth with its' textured pattern. Remaining in excellent neo-vintage condition, this piece boasts a mint dial and unpolished case/bracelet. We pulled an archive extract which shows a 1998 production date, adding to its provenance and it is ready to enjoy for decades to come.
Dial: Fantastic preservation with no notable blemishes under magnification. All of the tritium plots have taken an attractive and even patina. Hands: Are matching.
Case: Appears sharp and unpolished. Correct signed crown.
Bracelet: Appears unpolished and remains tight. Will fit an approximate 7 inch wrist.
Crystal: Has a couple of light scuffs but they aren't distracting to the naked eye.
Accessories: Archive extract.
