Blancpain - Villeret Ultra Thin Chronometer Ref 7002
Quite possibly the best 7002 to come to market in the last 12+ months in mint condition and with a very complete set, including the COSC certificate.
Easily the leading candidate for watches that “feel” like a a lot more than the price would suggest, in my very humble opinion, and the subject of numerous wonderful articles and reviews of yesteryear.
Dial: the flawless matte-eggshell white dial with mirror polished applied Breguet numerals set neatly in a slightly sunken hour track providing a great deal of depth and dimension to the dial. The no-date with sub seconds and modest and warm lume manages to be modern, timeless, dressy, and sporty.
Case: 36mm stainless steel case is just 6.8mm thin with its thin signature double shoulder bezel and nicely sized signed crown. The 7002 is the brand’s only stainless steel case to feature a sapphire caseback displaying the beautifully finished movement. The case is absolutely excellent, and appears to be unworn.
Movement: the manually wound Blancpain caliber 64-1 is a heavily modified and finished Pseaux 7001 that was Blancpains only certified chronometer. The watch is winding, setting, and running well, and suspected to never have been serviced, a watch collector’s untouched dream!
Includes: Comes on a new navy crocodile strap with accompanying signed steel buckle, original inner and outer boxes, manual, guarantee booklet, and COSC certificate.
Dimensions: 36mm
Box & Papers: Full set
