Locally sourced from the original family this Rolex Air-King was purchased in 1982 and was kept in all original condition, retaining its orignal box and even original hangtag! Incredibly the watch had never been serviced before and was still running well. I actually prefer to find watches this way as it allows me to decide each intervention carefully to preserve the historical integrity of the watch. Of course I left the case unpolished, proudly preserving the scars of a 43 year old life. The original dial is beautiful, showing a light grey hue and puffy lume plots. The movement underwent a full service by my master watchmaker and is now ready to be worn and enjoyed for its next chapter in life. It’s getting harder and harder to find these watches truly untouched like this these days and I still get exited when I find them, no matter what model or price point.
