Breitling - Vintage Breitling Top Time Chronograph
The watch to “Live life up to the hilt!”, the not your father’s Breitling! The top time was introduced in 1964 for a younger “have fun”generation, with a clean, contemporary silhouette. The present example is very charming overall and you’ll be hard pressed to find a stainless steel column wheel chronograph with an established brand on the dial for less.
Case: The all stainless steel case measures 35mm in diameter by 43mm lug to lug and 11.5mm thick. The case is thick and believed to be unpolished throughout with clear engravings on the caseback and a signed crown. Please note the crown is slightly loose when extended for setting, but upon inspection by the watchmaker it was advised to leave as is as it seems to be secure. The top pusher has a small dent in the pusher cap that does not affect operation.
Dial: the sunburst silver dial with sunken sub registers is overall in good shape and consistent with age, exhibiting light spotting, particularly at the top of the dial. The lume in hands and in the dial has aged to a slightly darker color.
Movement: Winding, setting, and chronograph functions are working properly and keeping time.
Includes: vintage style brown leather strap.
