Corum - Vintage Corum Meiji Imperial Dragon Yen Coin Pocket Watch in Silver
Up for grabs is a Corum Coin Pocket watch
The watch is made out of 800 grade silver. This is an uncommon alloy to use, as its only about 80% pure silver, but it was matched to the coin, which was minted in Japan using 800 grade silver with 80% silver and 20% copper.
The coin itself is based on a 1 Japanese YEN which circulated between 1887-1912 with Emperor Meiji as the ruler of Japan. The back shows an Imperial dragon while the front has the Chrysanthemum Flower (Coat of Arms & Emperor’s Royal Seal).
The watch measures 40mm across. The crown is located at bottom and signed with Corum logo.
The dial is marked “Corum” and swiss, as well as “quartz”
The movement is quartz Corum.
The watch also features its original chain and at the end is a Japanese 20 SEN coin.
No box or papers. The watch currently runs.
