They have a rich history and are best known today for their connection to U.S. presidents. In 1948 President Harry S. Truman was gifted a “Cricket” alarm by the White House Press Photographers Association, which he wore regularly. President Lyndon B. Johnson and President Dwight D. Eisenhower were also known to love the alarm watch’s practically. Johnson so much so that he gave away 200 of them as gifts. This incredible story carried into modern times with President Obama being given one post inauguration.
