Zodiac - Zodiac Sea Wolf SST 36000 - Rare

The Zodiac Sea Wolf first arrived in 1953. It debuted on the same year as the Rolex Submariner amongst the first wave of commercially successful consumer-grade dive watches. Later known for their more colorful offerings, the Sea Wolf featured vivid pops of orange, green and blue, which made them more youthful and exciting than Blancpains and Tudors from the era. We believe that these models offer great value in today's market given their significant history.

This particular model is a blend of the popular Sea Wolf and Zodiac's SST 36000. It features an unusual "coffin" shaped case, housing a hi-beat day-date complication with quickset, as well as an inner rotating bezel with another pop of orange (this one has faded to a to a beautiful yellow/orange tone). The black dial displays large raised markers that are both clear and orange. This Zodiac is not only now a rare collector piece, it is wonderful and striking in its design language. This piece just came back from a service and is ready for its next chapter of enjoyment.

Dial: Is nicely preserved under magnification. No notable blemishes. (Note that the striations are the crystal).
Bezel: The inner rotating bezel has remained very attractive and free of any distracting blemishes.
Hands: Have been expertly stabilized and color matched to the dial.
Case: Normal and honest signs of use consistent with age. Correct signed crowns.
Crystal: Has some crazing which is normal for an original crystal of this age. We left it as is to add to the watch's character.
Accessories: Two piece leather strap in grey.

All of the functions of the watch operate flawlessly. The movement was just completely overhauled and is running well on our timegrapher. It comes with our 1-year mechanical warranty.
